For over a millenium the majestic spires of Prague Castle and its cathedral have crowned the city and the nation. Founded by the first Czech sovereigns, and today the seat of the President of the Republic,
the castle and cathedral remain important symbols of Czech statehood and the establishment of Christianity in Bohemia. After a short tram ride, we begin in the renaissance Royal Garden. Before entering the castle, we detour past Emperor Rudolf''''s famous Spanish Hall to Hradcany Square where we can see the hourly changing of the Castle Guard- and a spectacular view of the city. Passing through the magnificent baroque Mathias Gate to the castle courtyards and the Royal Palace we come to
St. Vitus Cathedral, wherein the Wenceslas Chapel houses the relics of the Czech patron saint (the "Good King Wenceslas" of song).
For those who want more we offer an extended tour of Prague Castle interiors. With us you visit the Old Royal Palace, St. George,s basilica. We finish our tour in the picturesque
Golden Lane, where we visit a medieval prison.
