If you are only staying in Prague for a short time, and yet would like to see its most beautiful monuments then our tour is precisely for you.
This is a unique opportunity to visit the most interesting places and get to know all the
essential aspects of Prague. All in one afternoon, because one of the good things about Prague is that its historic centre is compact and you can visit the best sites on foot. Our tour is not just an excursion into Czech history but also a brief architecture course during which you will learn to distinguish the key features of different architectural styles. Your guide will also tell you where the city is heading at the beginning of the new millenium.
The tour begins at
Old Town Square, which witnissed some stormy events in the past. We will then see
Ungelt-the former medieval customs house, which is now an oasis of peace in the otherwise bustling Old Town. After this we cross over into the
Jewish Quarter.Although the Jewish Ghetto is fortunatelly a thing of the past, to this day there is still a magical atmosphere of medieval times, when
rabbi Loew created
Golem and the Old New Synagogue was built. After exploring the Jewish Quarter we can stop for a short refrehment break in a classic Czech pub. Across
the Charles Bridge, famous for its unique combination of gothic construction and baroque statues, we will then get to the other side of the Vltava river.
A scenic tram will then take us to
Prague Castle for a never to be forgotten experience exploring the majestic St. Vitus Cathedral as well as the castle gardens, where a fascinating wiew of the city will spread before you.Next one of Prague''s oldest streets will take us to the
Lesser Quarter where we can find some most
picturesque nooks of old Prague. Our tour ends in a place known as
Prague Venice where Praguers like to relax.
